The Møller Institute is an independently-managed residential leadership development and conference centre located on the grounds of Churchill College.
The Maersk Mc-Kinney Møller Centre for Continuing Education was formally opened by Her Majesty, Queen Ingrid of Denmark, on Friday, 2nd October, 1992. Now the Møller Institute, the centre was built with a generous donation to Churchill College by the A.P. Møller & Chastine Mc-Kinney Møller Foundation.
Mr Møller felt that Denmark’s safety during the Second World War and prosperity afterwards had depended on Churchill’s personal involvement and so he proposed the concept of a ‘Centre for Excellence’. He believed that, with access to the full educational and research resources of the University of Cambridge, the centre would be able to offer the highest standard of continuing education to leaders and aspiring leaders.
The Møller Institute’s profits are covenanted back to Churchill College for investment in undergraduate and graduate education and student support.
